Eric Clapton will be selling parts of his enviable personal collection for the benefit of recovering drug users and alcoholics. Clapton, 65, founded the rehab clinic, The Crossroads Centre in Antigua in 1998 and profits will go to its maintenance. More than 70 guitars and 70 amps will be up for grabs for anyone hoping to own a piece of Claptons musical history.

Fans can splash out on his one-of-a-kind black Fender Stratocaster from his 2005 tour, which is expected to sell for around $30,000.

The auction will take place at Bonhams & Butterfields auction house in Los Angeles, on February 17.
